Alumasc Skyline was recently chosen by contractors Tetraclad to design and supply bespoke soffits and fascia for the assisted living complex Greenfields in Leighton Buzzard. The prestigious development is made up of 82 one and two bedroomed apartments, designed for over 55s. The apartments are finished to a high standard and are available on a rental or shared ownership basis, with extra care assistance available for those who need it.
Alumasc Skyline designed, manufactured and supplied tailored soffit and fascia products for the entrance hall and a circular feature at the back of the building. Matt Swaffer, Contracts Manager at Tetraclad, explains: “I’ve worked with Alumasc Skyline before and I know they can produce a bespoke solution from design to delivery. We needed fascia and soffits for the curved structure which wouldn’t be available off-the-shelf. So we called Skyline’s Technical Sales Manager Ivan Colvil to provide a suitable solution. It’s always best to go to the experts!”
Ivan visited the site and drew up the plans for a comprehensive fascia and soffit system for the entrance, both for the front and rear of the building. Ivan comments: “The challenge was to design a system to the customer’s requirements, which was to fit the curved outline of the entrance hall. Once the drawings were completed and the product manufactured, I visited the site to advise on installation and help with any queries. The job was finished within six weeks, from first site visit to delivery.”
